I'd like to see more features/tools added to the Profile Window.

I'd like to see the ability to Classify Points Above/Below the Draped Profile Line.

I'd also like to see additional tools for the user creation of 3D Points and Polylines in the Profile Window. For example, I can see the cross section of a stream beneath a heavy tree canopy but I have no way to capture that profile. I could classify the LAS points, but in many cases having the ability to draw a point or line would be better.

Have you tried the profile export to export the draped line in a profile? This sounds like it would satisfy you needs for the final suggestion you had. If not please clarify why profile export would not work for you.

Thanks in advance

The profile export funtionality only satisfies this need if the LAS data is classified and the user displays the data via a filter. Then the draping works fine, sure. But if the data is unclassified then the resultant draped line will fall along the TIN created from the points, not necessarily the user's desired location.

The tools are available in LP360 through multiple steps to accomplish this via classifying the data. However a streamlined approach would be to allow the drawing of points or lines in the profile window which would use the center of the profile to generate the XY coordinates and the profile window to provide the Z.
