Floating licence server on Unix (Solaris)?

We have received a CD key for a 2 user floating licence for LP360. I have been given the task of installing the floating licence server. We normally use Solaris for our floating licence servers but the help seems to assume that we will be using a Windows server. Is this correct?

For the benefit of others who might see this post...
Yes, the license server must run on a Windows box, however, the requirements of this box are modest, it does not have to be a typical server box running Windows Server, it can be a desktop Windows machine on your network.
